Classic Carbonara - KitchenLo

sharing the steps and ingredients of the classic simple delicious carbonara.


  1. Bacon*100g (Guanciale/Pancetta)

  2. Parmesan Cheese*20g

  3. Egg*2 (one yolk and one full egg)

  4. Spaghetti (1/3 box)

  5. Salt and pepper


  1. Add a good pinch of salt in boiling water and cook the spaghetti until al dente. (approx. 8 minutes)

  2. Grate 50g of Parmesan Cheese and stir with egg yolk and full egg, add in some black pepper for extra flavor.

  3. Dice your guanciale and lay it on cold pan then place it over medium heat. Started pan fry the guanciale until golden and deeply brown When the guanciale is ready, we can turn the heat off.

  4. When the pasta is al dente, lift it from the water and put it in the frying pan and mix with the guanciale.

  5. Pour in the eggs and cheese mixture and mix with the pasta until everything is coated. Add some more pasta water to keep it extra saucy.

  6. Serve with some more black pepper and shredded cheese.
